Installation Guide – MIS 3.5

 

The prerequisite software will vary depending on what package you intend to install. Please examine the following table before proceeding with the installation of prerequisite software.

* IMPORTANT: Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 does not provide backward compatibility for .NET Framework 1.1. In some cases both .NET Framework 2.0 and .NET Framework 1.1 will need to be present on the system.

Setup Guide for MIS 3.5 on Windows Server 2008

 

Install the following software in the order below. Optional items may be skipped, as appropriate.

 

1.    Install Windows Server 2008. (Standard or Enterprise edition supported.)

2.    Set additional system settings.

3.    Install and configure MSMQ 2.0 message queue. (Included but must be configured.)

4.    Install and configure IIS (Included but must be configured)

5.    Install and configure MS SQL 2005 + SP2 – or – MS SQL 2005 Express + SP2.
(Standard or Enterprise editions are supported. Must be licensed by the customer. No license is required for Microsoft SQL 2005 Express)

6.    Install and configure MIS 3.5.

7.    Check for and install MIS service packs.

Setup Guide for MIS 3.5 on Windows Server 2003

 

Install the following software in the order below. Optional items may be skipped, as appropriate.

 

1.    Install Windows Server 2003 (Server or Enterprise editions supported.)

2.    Set additional system settings.

3.    Install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.

4.    Install and configure MSMQ 2.0 message queue. (Windows 2003 CD required).

5.    Install and configure IIS (Windows 2003 CD required).

6.    MS SQL Server 2000 + SP4 – or – MSDE + SP4 – or – MS SQL 2005 + SP2 – or – MS SQL 2005 Express + SP2.
(Standard or Enterprise edition are supported. Must be licensed by the customer. No license is required for MSDE or Microsoft SQL 2005 Express)

7.    Install and configure MIS 3.5.

8.    Check for and install MIS Service Packs
